Elisa Goodman on The Rant with Baeth Davis

Today Elisa Goodman joins me on the show to talk about dealing with grief and transforming it through creativity.

For the last 18 years, Elisa Goodman has been expressing herself as a Visual Artist — through the medium of Collage, as a Digital Illustrator and as an Author. Prior to that, she was a casting director in Los Angeles for 20 years — working on a variety of Indie film and TV projects for Lifetime, NBC, Hearst, and Paramount & Fox. Her joy was discovering talented actors.

Elisa is the creator of the her “I’M SKEWED COLLECTION” has over 250 illustrations which she offers as greeting cards, posters, magnets, a yearly calendar and (2) books. Her quirky, offbeat, Tell-it-Like-it-is stories may resonate like “Chicken Soup for the Soul/“Super Soul Sunday” with a little Carrie Fisher/Seinfeld snark peppered in.

You’ll love Elisa’s humor and amazing creativity on today’s show.

Miriam Schulman on The Rant with Baeth Davis

Our guest today, Miriam Schulman, talks about how artistry and creativity has the power to transform and uplift society.

Miriam abandoned a hedge-fund career and decided to embrace her art career full-time after 9/11. Contrary to the starving artist myth, she has been quite successful.

Miriam’s watercolor and mixed media paintings have been seen on NBC, and published in art magazines, home decor books and collected worldwide.

Today, Miriam rants about the “starving artist” mindset and how it infects society.
